Q: I installed both InWatch and the Inwatch Hotsync as indicated in the onoline applications tutorial. I then installed the IW_Example, and ran create. I then ran the compare and InWatch found nothing. I have tried to remove the IW_Example with the standard Palm Uninstall software and It does not get removed. Is it possible that it is restoring the application after it has been removed ? Are there some special settings I need to be aware of in the Conduit settings? I am on Palm OS 3.3 and I run Intellisynch.

A: Reading the above process you took, it looks as if you forgot to do a Snapshot before installing the Example program (a snapshot won't automatically be done with IW HotSync unless you first enable it from within InWatch). To try again, run the IW Example and press remove. Then, go to the main applications screen and delete the IW Example program in the usual fashion. You are now ready to try again. Start by going to InWatch and pressing Snapshot. Now, reinstall IW Example, run it and press Create. Now, go back to InWatch and press Compare. That should be it! I know that it may seem confusing at first (I'm working on trying to make it simpler to use), but once you've done it once, it's easy to do from there!
